History of the Fujikawa River Basin Sabo Office
Sabo works of the fuji river basin originally started at the Komu river and other rivers in 1883.After experiencing severe typhoondamage twice in the previous year, the Fujikawa River Basin Sabo Office was established in 1960 designating the Kamanashi tributaries and the Haya river basin as Sabo construction area under their direct jurisdiction. Since then, the Fujikawa River Basin Sabo Office has been contributing to create a future securing safe and affluent lives while preserving nature and maintaining harmony with it.
